The European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) has established a student branch at the  College of Engineering for Oil and Gas  at Basra University for Oil and Gas. The opening ceremony took place on October 7, 2024, with the support of the university's president and faculty. The branch aims to bring together talented students in engineering and geology, fostering their scientific and creative development. It will offer seminars, awareness sessions, and scientific clubs to help students enhance both theoretical and practical skills. The event concluded with a presentation from students and an interactive session to discuss future activities.
