Scholarships and Cultural Relations Department
This department is directly related to the Chancellor Assistant for Scientific Affairs, it comprises two Divisions:
1-Scholarships Division
2-Cultural Relations Division
It is responsible for organizing scholarships for students and members of the university in addition to the scholarship programs provided by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The department promotes scientific basis for development and advancement. Via this department, the university is connected with other international scientific institutes.
Tasks
1-Responsible for organizing the files of scholarships candidates.
2-Providing all necessary facilities and instructions for students.
3-Holding cooperation contracts and agreements with international universities.
4-Granting sabbatical period for professors outside Iraq.
5-Providing the best educational opportunities outside Iraq.
6-Arranging training programs and workshops for the faculty staff and employees.
7-Coordination with Arab and International Universities for further cooperation.
8-Organizing the students’ database to include all the necessary and important information for the university and the Ministry.
