The journal Modren Earth systems and Environment has published scientific research about Applications of Biomarker and Geochemical characterization of crude oil for Mesopotamian basin, southern Iraq.
Biomarker applications and geochemical properties of crude oil for the Rafidain Valley basin, southern Iraq. Teacher at the college of oil and gas Engineering at the Basrah University for oil and gas teacher Hussein Aliwi Jafit with the participation of professors from the faculty of science at the university of basrah, and they are both (A.M.D Amina Mal Allah / I.M Dr.Mowaffaq Fadel Al shahwan and searching of Javi made in this study , conducting geochemical conversions for rocks, and rocks extract Al- Masdariyah is from different oil fields in Basrah province and Maysan, and the results indicated that the source of the rocks Generating carbon, marine algae, carbonate and species. The kirojin is the second type and does not have any continental source in which these rocks were acted in a deep sea more environment from 150 meters ( with normal salinity, which is a reducing environment ) Notes any vital wear was observed for the studied oils show emulator oil , that the emulation has the same group and returns to the same rocks, on the other hand Emulation between oil and the source of the source illustrates that both are has the same geochemical properties, and the result of analyzes are shown carbon's counterfeit that the rocks for oil are it is a free mature rocks and contains a high percentage of sulfur with an API degree between (15- 48).
