Oil and Gas Engineering College has organized a training workshop about "Environmental Pollution", the lecturer, Dr. Abdul Zahra Khudair, presented the concept of environmental pollution as every quantitative or qualitative change in living and non- living components of an environment which cannot be accepted by the environmental regulations.
The workshop discussed the main reasons behind water pollution such as fertilizers and pesticides as well as the environmental situation in the middle east; noting that pollution is one of the most serious problems of environment that started to get a serious environmental, economic and social dimensions, and that man represents the major cause in dusrupting the natural balance of environment.
