To support digital transformation, the President of Basra University for Oil and Gas chaired an expanded meeting with a delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to discuss (HEPIQ) and (SIS) systems.
The President of Basra University for Oil and Gas, Professor Dr. Muhammad Halil Hafez Al-Kaabi, chaired an expanded meeting with a delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, to follow up on the mechanisms for implementing and completing the requirements of the approved digital educational systems and platforms, and to discuss the work stages related to the implementation of the Higher Education Platform (HEPIQ) and the Student Information System (SIS).
The meeting included a review and discussion of the work stages and the percentages of achievement in implementing digital systems, as well as a discussion of mechanisms for digitizing academic data, managing student affairs, and activating their electronic accounts in a way that contributes to ensuring smooth educational and administrative procedures, in accordance with modern ministerial standards and guidelines.
The meeting was attended by the Director of the Student Affairs Department at the University Presidency, the heads of the scientific departments in the university’s formations from the Colleges of Petroleum and Gas Engineering and Industrial Management for Petroleum and Gas, the heads of the student affairs divisions in the colleges, in addition to a number of administrative and technical staff concerned with the implementation of digital systems.
During the meeting, the President of the University of Basra for Oil and Gas, Mr. Al-Kaabi, affirmed the university’s full commitment to complying with ministerial directives, overcoming all difficulties and obstacles, and harnessing the necessary capabilities to accelerate the steps of comprehensive digital transformation, noting that the university has achieved a 100% completion rate in fulfilling the requirements of digital systems.
For its part, the ministerial delegation praised the great efforts and tangible cooperation made by the administrative and technical staff at the University of Basra for Oil and Gas, stressing the importance of continuing joint work and coordination to ensure the sustainability of these systems and their development in a way that serves the educational and administrative process.
