Basra University for Oil and Gas receives a delegation from the Holy Abbasid Shrine

On Monday morning, September 28, 2026, the University of Basra for Oil and Gas received a delegation representing the Holy Abbasid Shrine. The delegation was received by the President of the University of Basra for Oil and Gas, Professor Dr. Muhammad Halil Hafez Al-Kaabi.

The visiting delegation extended an official invitation to the university to attend the central graduation ceremony for Iraqi university students, the seventh edition of the “Guided by the Moon” class, which is organized by the University and School Relations Division of the Holy Abbasid Shrine on Thursday and Friday, November 19-20, 2026.

The University President welcomed the visiting delegation, appreciating the kind invitation, and confirming the participation of a number of graduates from the Colleges of Petroleum and Gas Engineering and Industrial Management of Petroleum and Gas in the ceremony's activities.

Al-Kaabi also praised the efforts made by the Holy Abbasid Shrine in supporting the educational process and enhancing communication with Iraqi universities, wishing those in charge of the ceremony continued success and prosperity.
