Basra University for Oil and Gas is organizing a training course on: "International Accounting Standard No. 1 (IAS 1) Presentation of Financial Statements"

Under the patronage of the President of Basra Oil and Gas University, Professor Dr. Muhammad Halil Hafez Al-Kaabi, the Continuing Education Center at the Basra Oil and Gas University Presidency, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Division at the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, organized a training course this morning, Wednesday, September 16, 2026, entitled: (International Accounting Standard No. 1 (IAS 1) Presentation of Financial Statements), in the presence of a number of faculty members at the university.

The course, presented by Dr. Uday Jawad Ali and Dr. Ali Abdulhassan Jassim, focused on reviewing the fundamental principles and concepts related to International Accounting Standard 1 (IAS 1). The presenters also highlighted the mechanisms and requirements for presenting financial statements, and the most important principles of disclosure and transparency adopted globally in preparing financial reports.
