Basra University for Oil and Gas organizes a training course on "Safety in Lifting Operations" for employees of the South Gas Company

Under the patronage of the President of Basra Oil and Gas University, Professor Dr. Muhammad Halil Hafez Al-Kaabi, the Continuing Education Center at the Presidency of Basra Oil and Gas University organized, on Sunday morning, September 20, 2026, a training course entitled: (Safety in Lifting Operations), for employees of the South Gas Company.

The course was presented by Assistant Lecturer Muntadhar Oraibi Jassim, Head of the Training Division at the Continuing Education Center of Basra University for Oil and Gas. The course covered a number of topics related to the safety procedures that must be followed during the implementation of lifting operations, and the safe handling of lifting equipment and machinery. The course also focused on the importance of adhering to occupational safety procedures and instructions, and following correct practices when using lifting equipment. This course comes within the efforts of the Continuing Education Center at Basra University for Oil and Gas to provide specialized training programs and courses, and to enhance cooperation with institutions and companies operating in the oil sector.
