The administrative assistant at the University of Basra for Oil and Gas participates in a master's thesis discussion at the University of Basra

The administrative assistant at Basra University for Oil and Gas, Assistant Professor Dr. “Nassif Jassim Ali Al-Abadi”, participated as a member of the committee discussing the master’s thesis entitled: (Economic Analysis of the Impact of Renewable Energy on Oil Markets and its Repercussions on the Iraqi Economy for the Period (2004-2024) for the researcher (Aliya Mansour Abdullah) at Basra University/College of Administration and Economics/Department of Economics, on the morning of Thursday, September 10, 2026.The message aimed to explain the impact of renewable energy on oil markets and analyze it economically, as well as its repercussions and future effects on the Iraqi economy. The thesis included a study of the development of renewable energy sources and their relationship to oil markets, an analysis of their economic impact and repercussions on the Iraqi economy, as well as an examination of future trends in renewable energy and its potential impact on oil markets and the Iraqi economy. The message concluded that the effects of the development of renewable energy sources on the oil markets showed that prices represent the influential factor; as oil prices rise, the costs of renewable energy sources decrease, so that their future effects on the markets appear low to slow, with an almost negligible impact on the Iraqi economy, with the exception of some projects under implementation. The letter recommended choosing appropriate procedures and policies that encourage continued investment in renewable energy sources on a wide scale in Iraq, and hedging against future oil shocks by diversifying the economic base, while keeping pace with international experiences. After the researcher defended the subject of her thesis and its contents, the committee decided to award her a master's degree.
