Basra University for Oil and Gas organizes a training course on: "Legal and Regulatory Aspects of Oil Licensing Rounds"

Under the patronage of the President of Basra Oil and Gas University, Professor Dr. Muhammad Halil Hafez Al-Kaabi, and under the supervision of the Director of the Continuing Education Center, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Kadhim Saddam, the Continuing Education Center at the Presidency of Basra Oil and Gas University organized, on Wednesday morning, November 4, 2026, a training course entitled: (Legal and Regulatory Aspects of Oil Licensing Rounds), with the participation of a number of faculty members and university students.

The course included scientific lectures presented by Dr. Kazem Rasen Abdul Saheb, Saif Shaker Hashem, and Assistant Lecturer Ali Zaidan Qasim, which addressed the legal and legislative frameworks regulating oil licensing rounds, the controls and instructions that govern contracting procedures with oil companies, as well as reviewing the organizational and contractual aspects related to managing these rounds, in a way that contributes to enhancing the legal knowledge of the participants and understanding the nature of oil contracts and the mechanisms for regulating them.

The course aims to develop the scientific and cognitive capabilities of the participants, and to highlight the importance of the legal and regulatory aspects in managing the oil and gas sector, thereby strengthening the link between academic knowledge and practical applications in this vital sector.
