The College of Petroleum and Gas Engineering organizes a volunteer initiative to provide school supplies for children at the Al-Baraem Orphanage.

The College of Petroleum and Gas Engineering at Basra Oil and Gas University organized a humanitarian volunteer initiative to provide school supplies to children at the Al-Baraem Orphanage in Basra Governorate on Monday morning, November 2, 2026. This initiative, part of the second season of the "My School" program, was supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Maysaa Nouri Shehab. The initiative included distributing school bags and complete stationery sets, bringing joy to the children and sharing moments of happiness with them. A number of students from the College of Petroleum and Gas Engineering participated in the initiative and the volunteer visit, interacting with the children at the orphanage and offering them educational and academic advice to help them succeed in their studies, in addition to distributing gifts of school supplies. At the end of the visit, the orphanage administration thanked the College of Petroleum and Gas Engineering delegation for their continued volunteer initiatives throughout the year, which bring joy and happiness to the hearts of the orphaned children.
