Basra University for Oil and Gas organizes a training course on "Modern Foundations in Financial Accounting and Banking Services"

Under the patronage of the President of Basra Oil and Gas University, Professor Dr. Muhammad Halil Hafez Al-Kaabi, the Continuing Education Center at the Presidency of Basra Oil and Gas University organized, on Tuesday morning, October 27, 2026, a training course entitled: (Modern Foundations in Financial Accounting and Banking Services), in the presence of a number of faculty members and university students.

The course aims to enhance knowledge and skills related to modern concepts and methods in the field of financial accounting and banking services, and to introduce the most prominent developments in the financial and banking sector, in order to contribute to developing the scientific and applied capabilities of the participants.

The course included scientific topics that addressed the modern foundations of financial accounting, the mechanisms for preparing and processing financial information and reports, in addition to reviewing a number of concepts related to banking services and their practical applications in the contemporary financial environment.

The course was presented by Dr. Hind Shafiq Nimr and Assistant Lecturer Hiba Abbas, who gave a scientific and practical presentation that addressed the most prominent related topics, while allowing participants the opportunity to ask questions, discuss, and exchange opinions on modern accounting and banking applications.

This course comes as part of the Continuing Education Center programs at Basra University for Oil and Gas, which aim to support professional and academic development and enhance the skills of university staff and students, in line with the requirements of continuous development in the financial and banking fields.
