Basra University for Oil and Gas organizes a training course on "The Correctness of Recitation and Quranic Rhetoric"

Under the patronage of the President of Basra Oil and Gas University, Professor Dr. Muhammad Halil Hafez Al-Kaabi, the Continuing Education Center at the Presidency of Basra Oil and Gas University organized, on Monday morning, October 19, 2026, a training course entitled: (The Safety of Recitation and Qur’anic Rhetoric), with the participation of a number of faculty members and university employees.

The course was presented by Assistant Teacher Saad Mutair Madloul, Assistant Programmer Sajjad Maitham Hassan, and Assistant Corrector Hamza Dakhel Katea. The course covered a number of topics that focused on the rules of correct recitation, the articulation points and characteristics of letters, correcting common errors in reading, in addition to introducing aspects of Qur’anic rhetoric, precision of expression, and the beauty of style in the Qur’anic text.

The course aimed to develop the participants’ skills in the correct reading of the Holy Qur’an, and to enhance their ability to understand some rhetorical and linguistic styles, as well as to develop the cultural and cognitive aspect of the university’s members and students.

This course is part of the training and cultural program of the Continuing Education Center, which aims to diversify the fields of knowledge and development, and enhance the scientific and cultural skills of the university’s staff and students.
