In pursuit of comprehensive academic development plans, and under the patronage of the President of Basra Oil and Gas University, Professor Dr. Muhammad Halil Hafez Al-Kaabi, the Continuing Education Center at the Presidency of Basra Oil and Gas University organized an extensive specialized training course entitled: (Preparing the Educational Package for Economics Materials), which began on Tuesday morning, September 1, 2026, and will continue for three consecutive days to conclude on the third of this month, with the attendance of the heads of scientific departments and with broad participation from all teaching staff.

This course, in which Assistant Professor Dr. Nassif Jassim Mohammed, Assistant Professor Dr. Adnan Hadi Jaaz, and Assistant Lecturer Issa Jaafar Baqir are lectured, aims to enable teaching staff, especially professors and teachers of economic and administrative sciences, to acquire the modern educational and scientific tools necessary to build, design and update curricula according to advanced education systems, and in line with international quality and academic accreditation standards, to meet the requirements of the accelerating knowledge transformation in the oil and gas and national economy sectors to supply the labor market with quality outputs.

The course includes providing detailed topics and a comprehensive explanation that addresses the integrated concept of the educational package and its basic elements, from teaching guides and knowledge resources to digital teaching aids. It also includes practical training for participants on formulating behavioral and cognitive objectives, designing tests, assessment tools, and interactive activities that ensure the delivery of knowledge material to students with the highest possible efficiency. The first day witnessed great interaction from the attendees through the presentation of interventions and extensive discussions that focused on the mechanisms for updating economic curricula. This initiative embodies the university administration's continuous commitment to raising the level of teaching and research performance and providing an integrated educational environment that keeps pace with the latest global strategies in higher education and scientific research.
